Exhibition presentation within FLOWERS: Flora in Contemporary Art and Culture
My work was shown in the section Flowers in Fashion, a curatorial framework that looked at how floral forms have been used to adorn the human body across time. Within this context, my practice introduced tattooing into the exhibition as a form of botanical adornment.
Across two gallery walls, the display brought together photographic and video works tracing botanical tattoo projects developed over several years. These were accompanied by short texts in which tattooed individuals reflected on their relationship to the plant imagery they carry.
It also included paintings developed during my residency at Sarabande Foundation, alongside selected footage and short documentary material from the Embodied Surfaces project at Chelsea Physic Garden.
