Freehand botanical tattoo — legs
My name is Malo, and my tattoo represents the flora of Île de Ré. It’s an island in western France, which has been the gathering point for my family throughout my entire life.Even though we are quite spread out across France, and for some across the globe, we always return there and reunite with each other. To me, Île de Ré is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
It has small seaside villages with narrow streets that are lined with colorful flowers. Hollyhocks are everywhere, poppies, lavender, pink laurel. In the summer months, it’s so vibrant—it’s like stepping into an impressionist painting.
So yeah… These plants have been a constant presence in my life, and I chose them to represent my feelings for this island and for my family, both of which have seen me grow over the years.
So for me this is about celebrating these memories, that deep connection through the natural beauty of this place, all in one big piece thanks to Daniel’s work.
